The space was dedicated to local resident Joe Negri, who attended Prospect School between 1935 and 1942. He is best known for appearing as Handyman Negri in the children's program Mister Rogers' Neighborhood for almost 40 years. After the 1970s, Mr. Negri taught jazz guitar at Duquesne University, University of Pittsburgh, and Carnegie Mellon.
